1. The structure of the trough should be reasonable, and the placement height should be appropriate
Unreasonable trough structure and placement height can waste up to about 12% of feed, so it is very important to use a properly sized trough. If the trough is too small, too deep or placed too high, it will affect the feeding and growth of chickens. Therefore, according to the age of broilers, we should select a properly sized eaves trough with a placement height of 1:2 μ K, which is about two centimeters higher than the back of chickens ,。
2. Proper feeding amount
Too much feed is added each time, which is the main reason of feed waste. According to statistics, 45% of the feed is wasted when the feed tank is full, 12% is wasted when it is added to 2 / 3, 5% is wasted when it is added to 1 / 2, and 2% is wasted when it is added to 1 / 3. Therefore, in the process of chicken breeding, it is better to add no more than 1 / 3 of the depth of the feed tank (barrel) at a time.
3. Feed shape and feeding method should be reasonable
According to the shape of broiler feed, it can be divided into powder, granule and crushed granule. It is suitable for Feeding Broilers because of its good palatability, more food intake and no fussiness. After one week of age, adding 500g of medium gravel per hundred chickens per week can help muscle stomach mechanical grinding and improve feed utilization. If the green feed is added to the feed, it should be cut short and chopped. The green feed causes the fine material adhering to it to be thrown down and causes waste. The water level in the water tank should not be too high, and regular water supply can also reduce part of the feed waste.
4. Prevention of wild birds and rats
Sparrows and mice not only eat feed, but also spread diseases easily. According to the survey, about 1% of the feed can be wasted, so it is necessary to prevent and kill rats frequently, and to cover the window screen and rat net on the ventilation hole (window) of the skylight to prevent the sparrow or other birds from entering.
It can be seen that no matter in the selection of feed or trough, it will seriously affect the waste degree of feed. Therefore, we need to consider in the selection of the trough of chicken raising equipment and in the feeding process of daily feeding to see whether our approach increases the cost or reduces the waste.
